Dr. Cindy is the only DTCM trained postpartum placenta specialist with ProDoula. Her participation in the course has already captured the attention of other encapsulators across North America who are excited to have access to her knowledge from the TCM perspective, which is historically where placenta preparation comes from.  Placenta encapsulation is a wonderful source for the mother to help speed up her recovery physically, mentally and spiritually.  Reported benefits include decreased postpartum bleeding, reduced anemia, more energy, prevention of postpartum depression, fewer maternal mood swings and increased breast milk supply.  If you are interested in placenta encapsulation, you can contact Dr. Cindy directly or check out

Dr. Cindy is a member of the College and Association of Acupuncturists of Alberta.  She also volunteers her Acupuncture at the Calgary Drop-In Center, The Alex Center for Adults, The Alex Center for Youth, and Acupuncturists Without Borders around Southern Alberta.  When she is not at the clinic, she is travelling abroad or hiking in the mountains with her husband, son and dog.
